EvoText is an instructional solutions development house started by Wetmore and co-founder Chris Robert with the mission to design, build, and maintain digital products that complement and enhance their clients’ educational goals. EvoText has successfully developed award-winning digital products for clients such as The CollegeBoard and Larson Texts, among others, and these products currently serve millions of students and teachers across the country. Since its inception, the company has grown tenfold and has also developed its own CODiE award-winning product, Ogment, a curriculum creation and management system helping educators use data to continuously improve curriculum and instruction.

“I am honored that EvoText employees nominated me for this award, and I’m thrilled that SIIA chose an education company leader as the top CEO for startup companies,” said Wetmore. “It’s a privilege to work with the EvoText team every day and I’m humbled that they believe in EvoText’s leadership. They make me a better leader by their example and I am grateful to be a part of this amazing company we’ve created.”

“SIIA’s 2017 Company CODiE Awards recognize the teams that are at the forefront of business innovation. These companies are shaping the future of how we conduct business, and it is truly an honor to recognize these individuals and teams through the Company CODiE Awards,” said Rhianna Collier, vice president and managing director, SIIA Software & Services Division and TechCouncil of Southern California.

Also in 2017, EvoText was named by The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a winner of the When Work Works Award—placing in the Top 15 companies. According to SHRM, the award recognizes employers at worksites that excel at offering a variety of top-rated employee initiatives such as work-life fit policies, flexible scheduling, and transition to parenthood programs.

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced the full slate of CODiE winners during a global web announcement December 1.
