Pando PR Tips 22: Podcast Tips, SXSW opens again but only till tomorrow!

Thursday, October 21, 2021 — What We Learned in Producing a Podcast - Check out a new podcast we produced on academic integrity! The Score went live on October 20 in recognition of the International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating. Find it on Apple, Spotify or Google. I bring this up because we researched a dozen podcast production companies and eventually selected a company in the UK called ThisIsDistorted. We were also impressed by ResonateRecordings. Our top takeaway from this whole process is to use a pro like either of these two companies. They provide a sound engineer, do mix-downs and handle posts to the players among other things. I'm happy to share other lessons learned so feel free to call me and ask for some advice.

SXSW Panel Picker Round 2 - If you can act fast, SXSW has opened up an additional round of applications for their 2022 conference. Final submissions for session ideas are due on Friday (That's tomorrow) October 22.

The Cloud Computing Awards - The Cloud Awards program celebrates the brightest and the best in Cloud Computing and is accepting entries until October 22, 2021. There are several new categories this year including Cloud Innovator of the Decade and Cloud Disruptor of the Year. Cost of entry is $495 for one category or a flat fee of $695 one product can enter as many categories as you wish.

2021 THE/Campus Technology New Product Awards - A friendly reminder that THE/Campus Technology New Product awards program entries are due Oct 29 for products or services that have been introduced to the market from Oct. 30, 2020 to Oct. 29, 2021. Nominees may enter either THE (for K-12) or Campus Technology (for HE) programs for $600 or both for $995.

Supes' Choice Awards - Another friendly reminder that the inaugural Supes' Choice Awards that are judged exclusively by school superintendents is due October 30.
