Pub Crawl 2026: A Community Event for Publications, Editors, and Writers
March 11–12 | 8am–8pm ET(
Timezone-friendly sessions throughout each day)

For writers, this is a chance to learn more about publications on Medium, talk craft with editors, and connect with writers across the community.

For editors, it’s a space to share your writing perspective, trade notes with your peers, and build relationships that help publications grow.

On my mind...

When sending out a pitch or a press release, don't shy away from website forms. It may feel more personal to send an email, however, forms work, too. Email inboxes are stuffed to bursting these days with automated emails and AI slop. That makes it difficult for your email message to stand out. We find that contact-us forms or better yet, those dedicated to news tips, are often more effective than email.

These forms exist for a reason; they are usually monitored by more than one person and there is a system in place for routing messages to best contacts. This is especially true for broadcast news. — Jennifer
